The Splash Pad

This is how I found Braxton when I turned around from the stove today. Funny little man, he was just chillin. It was almost nap time and he looked like that swing was going to put him to sleep.
While standing under this Braxton told me "Mom look, I'm taking a shower."
I told Braxton to smile for me and this is what I got! Hmmm we might have to work on that.
Braylee hanging out in her stroller at the splash pad.
We went to the splash pad with my friend Gentri and her son Bentley, who is the same age as Brax, so it's perfect. The boys loved it and it was a lot of fun.
Braxton actually surprised me and ran through everything, with a smile on his face. Sometimes getting this kid into the water can be a chore, but he loved it.

Snack time
Bentley and Brax hanging out on the "tall building" or the little brick wall that Brax called a tall building. He told me "I'm climbing the tall building mom." Oh the imagination of a two year old.

We Love Bedtime!

We haven't been up to too much lately, and if we have I haven't taken any pictures. So here's some pictures for Grandma (she wanted to see how Braylee has changed), nothing too exciting, we're just getting ready for bed. Braxton's favorite thing to do once he escapes from getting his pajamas on.... jump on the bed.
Not sure what he's doing here? I told him to smile for Grandma and this is what I got!
Braylee hanging out in her pj's. Brax had to get in on the camera action.

Brandon's Birthday & the 4th of July!

We have had so much fun this past week. Friday was Brandon's birthday To celebrate we went to lunch at a churrascaria (thanks Bree & James for keeping Braxton) and went to dinner that night with some friends.

The picture below is the kids standing in front of the lobster tank. The one above is them looking at a lobster. The waitress saw how much they were loving them so she pulled one out for us to look at, they really loved that!
On Friday, Bree and I decided to check out a local parade. We almost missed it when we got stuck at a stop light with the parade going on in front of us. I told Braxton to watch it out his window, I don't think he thought that was too great. However, further down the road it hadn't reached yet so got out and saw the entire parade. Afterwards they had games and activities the kids could enjoy, Braxton and Avri loved the bounce house.

Braylee at the parade. She enjoyed everything but the fire trucks and their loud noises that made her cry! Braxton watching in anticipation for the parade coming down the road.

On Sunday we went to a local fire works show it was lots of fun, but just didn't compare to the I.F. fireworks.
Braylee slept through the whole thing.
Braxton was so excited to ride on this cute little train, he was jumping up and down clapping. It was so cute!

Trying to ENJOY this really HOT weather!

Whenever I'm going to take a picture of Braylee, Braxton comes over and wants to be in it. It's pretty cute. I always say "my two cute kids," so this morning Braxton told my mom on the phone "Braxton and Braylee are cute." It was so sweet. Oh how I love that little man!
The beautiful temple. We'd been at the park right before this and Braxton had run through the sprinklers and fallen in the mud, so that is why he's only in a diaper.

Here's the kids after running through the sprinklers.
Running through the water. It was so hot when we went to the Park, the kids enjoyed this little treat.

The Kids Museum & Random Pics

Braylee and her dad on Fathers Day. I think Braylee looks a lot like her daddy, especially his baby pictures. I guess we'll see!

We went to the Houston Kids Museum, it was a lot of fun but kind of crazy. It was the Family Free night and everyone was taking advantage of it being "free"! It was nuts! Braxton had fun though.
There were these little water troughs that the kids could float boats on and we were playing on a playground next to these boats. Well I couldn't spot Braxton so I glance over at the water and much to my suprise Braxton is sitting in the trough. THIS is not what the kids are supposed to do. No there's not another kid in the whole place who thought "gee that looks like a great place to swim, I'm just gonna crawl over the side and go for a swim" (Just my Braxton). The lady standing by him was trying to help him get out and looking around like where is this kids mom. Thanks Brax!! Well needless to say he jumped in twice more meanwhile I'm carrying Braylee in my bjorn and trying to haul him out of the water. There were these two old ladies sitting on this bench just laughing at me, they thought it was hilarious. Real Funny! Someday's I just can't keep up to this kid. Good thing he's so cute! (These are the troughs below- they don't look like a swimming pool- just to a 2 year old!) Why not?
